Bio*versity Park Campaign

Invasive species are quietly taking over our local parks, and
most people have no idea. Bio*versity is an initiative dedicated

to changing that, bringing awareness to the threat through

community engagement and action. With a social media presence

showcasing real efforts, and in-park signage guiding visitors,

bioversity turns everyday parkgoers into informed, active

participants in protecting our local environments.

PROCESS

Solution Mapping

This multi-touchpoint approach is designed to reach the widest possible audience of nature enthusiasts and concerned community members. The digital campaign extends Bio*versity's reach to those with limited direct exposure to natural spaces, building awareness beyond the trail. Meanwhile, physical displays within parks equip frequent visitors with the knowledge to identify invasive species and take meaningful steps to curb their spread.

User Consideration

Users from the primary research who valued the outdoors said that they prefer when distractions to nature are minimal and provide concise context. With this in mind, the design was limited to smaller signs with natural shapes and elements.

The colors were chosen to get the users attention but allow them to move on after they have digested the content. The tagline "Save the Trees" comes from the damage the invasive species inflict on the environment, while the images show two different images of the species for identification.

Final Deliverables

Final Thoughts

Invasive species are a growing threat to our local parks, and

most people don't even know it. Bio*versity is here to change that.

While we can't tackle every invasive species at once, raising

awareness is a powerful first step. Bio*versity not only protects local

nature and wildlife, it brings people together around something

that matters.
